Re: Connecting to ispot running 2209 via mac address spoofin
I've changed DNS settings, I've spoofed my MacBook Pro MAC to an iPad Mac 7C:6D:62 (first three octets) nothing works, still get redirected "TBD"....I'm hanging my hopes on JAKU! Totally frustrated right now

I figured out a way to "spoof" it's not 100% yet and it's messy. I'm working on finding out exactly what it does to fix this, and will be releasing a standalone app to do this.

I develop on a mac, so it would work on a mac before anything.

Re: Connecting to ispot running 2209 via mac address spoofin
It isn't the DNS Servers that are changed, a nslookup correctly returns the external IP for a given website, so clearly those are working normal (thus, port 53 is open, I wonder if I could route a VPN connection through port 53, or ssh connection, then ride a VPN over the top of that to route all your traffic to the VPN host, and then on to the internet from there!
They are clearly catching port 80 and redirecting it...
(Just tested port 53, no, this won't work as a nslookup X Server - where X is something that will work to be looked up, and Server is an external DNS Server, fails...)

Re: Connecting to ispot running 2209 via mac address spoofin
Clear in the past has allowed unfiltered access to other servers over port 53. Using OpenVPN was one thing many people used to get around this at one point. I haven't looked into proxies or anything with the iSpot but it's not a terrible idea.

Re: Connecting to ispot running 2209 via mac address spoofin
I just reset my device and automatically updated it to the latest firmware, thus loosing my jailbreak. Though I am still able to use my non-apple laptop on my ispot by simply changing the MAC address of my network card with an exception of google.com. From that site I'm always transferred to the clear site.
Try it for yourself.
UPDATE!!!
Clearing all my browsing data fixed the issue. I am now able to use my lenovo laptop on my ispot by simply changing my MAC address. Works brilliantly!
