Post Should I Upgrade the Firmware? (Benefits?)
Hello All,

I initially bought my iSpot over a year ago - and I managed to get everything unlocked and running (thanks to this fantastic website).

I've had my account on hold for pretty much the life of the iSpot - but I'm planning on getting a tablet in the next month or so and would love to have this thing running during my commute to/from work. I'm seeing that there is new firmware now - and that if I update, I'll have to bother Jaku with another unrestriction request.

Are there any benefits to updating the firmware? Better/Faster connectivity?

Right now - everything seems to be working on the train - for the most part, I have a pretty solid connection (with a few blackouts here and there - but they only seem to last less than a minute each during the train ride).

Typically, especially when it comes to firmware on my devices, I'm in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" camp. I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on something good.

Any advice would be great.

Cheers!

Kricket

FYI - Here is what I'm seeing in the iSpot Summary:

Software: 2.0.0.0 [R1821 (Aug 15 2010 08:44:41)]
Firmware: 1.9.9.4
